Location Directory

The Location Directory serves as the central registry for all venues — stores, offices, or any physical site — where your WiFi network infrastructure is deployed. Each entry in the directory represents a distinct venue and acts as the organizational anchor for the routers, captive portals, landing pages, and analytics data associated with that site.

Location Record Fields​

Each location record contains the following attributes:

  • Name — A descriptive label used to identify the venue throughout the dashboard
  • Address — The physical street address of the venue
  • Description — Optional free-text notes providing additional context about the venue
  • Coordinates — Latitude and longitude values used for geographic mapping and reporting
  • Timezone — The local timezone of the venue, applied to scheduling and time-based reporting
  • Client — The account to which this location belongs; visible to super administrators managing multiple clients
  • Primary Location — A designation flag; one location per client may be marked as the primary venue

Adding a Location​

To register a new venue in the Location Directory:

  1. Navigate to Locations in the main sidebar.
  2. Click Add Location.
  3. Enter the venue name, street address, description, geographic coordinates, and timezone.
  4. Assign the location to the appropriate client account.
  5. Optionally, pair one or more registered routers to this location during setup.
  6. Click Save to create the location record.

Editing or Removing a Location​

  • To modify an existing location, click its entry in the directory to open the detail view, then select Edit to update any field.
  • Removing a location is a permanent action. All routers currently paired to the location will be unassigned upon deletion. Ensure any active data collection has been accounted for before proceeding.

Working With a Location​

The Location Directory provides several integrated management functions accessible directly from each location record:

  • Landing Page Builder — Clicking into a location opens its Landing Page Builder, where you design the WiFi microsite presented to guests upon connection at that venue.
  • Router Management — Each location supports one or more paired physical routers. See Routers & Devices for instructions on registering and managing hardware.
  • Deployment Controls — From the directory list view, you can deploy or undeploy a router to a location, and toggle its active data collection state, without navigating away from the directory.
